Who Owns Magic Red

Three companies sit behind this casino and only one of them is your legal counterparty in Great Britain. Here is the ownership chain, the licence that governs a UK account, and the regulator's public record on the operator.

Company details re-checked: 5 November 2026

Three Companies, One Casino

Magic Red is a white-label casino, which means the brand, the technology and the licence are held by different companies. That is completely normal in this market, but it does mean the name on the logo is not the name you would write to if something went wrong. Untangling it takes about a paragraph.

The brand — the Magic Red name, the look and the domain — belongs to PALSAR Limited. The platform — the lobby, the account system, the game integrations and the cashier — is Aspire Global's, a Malta-based supplier that has been running white-label casinos for well over a decade and now sits inside the Aristocrat Leisure group after Aristocrat bought its parent, NeoGames, in April 2024. And the licensee for anyone playing from Great Britain is AG Communications Limited.

That third company is the one that matters to you. It holds the Gambling Commission licence, it holds your money, it is the data controller for your account, and it is the entity named in any complaint you make. Everything on the rest of this page is about it.

The Company Card

Everything in this table is drawn from the operator's own published terms and the Gambling Commission's public register. Where a detail could not be evidenced from one of those two sources, we have left it out rather than guessed.

What the Licence Actually Covers

Account 39483 is not a single permission but a bundle of three, added over five years as the operator expanded what it offers. Each one is a separate operating licence with its own conditions, and all three appear against the same account on the register.

Remote Casino

Live since 1 November 2014. This is the permission that covers slots, RNG tables and the live dealer floor — the products a Magic Red account actually uses.

Eleven years continuously licensed

General Betting (Real Events)

Added 28 September 2017. Covers sports betting on genuine sporting events for the group's betting-facing brands.

Not all group brands use it

Remote Bingo

Added 27 August 2019, the most recent addition to the account. Bingo rooms carry their own conditions on stakes and prize structures.

Separate product, same licensee

What that means for your account

  • Segregated funds: customer balances are held apart from company money, and the operator must publish its level of protection
  • GAMSTOP is mandatory: every GB remote licensee must be a member, so one self-exclusion covers the lot
  • Age check before deposit: verification comes first, not after your first withdrawal request
  • Named ADR body: unresolved disputes escalate free of charge to an independent adjudicator after eight weeks
  • Advertising rules bite: bonus terms have to be presented up front, not buried behind an asterisk
  • Enforcement is public: if the Commission acts against the licensee, the decision notice is published

Do the check yourself: open the Gambling Commission's public register, search the business name AG Communications Limited or account 39483, and confirm that the domain you are about to deposit on is listed under that licensee. It takes under a minute and it is the single most useful thing you can do before opening any casino account.

Dates That Matter

A brand's age tells you something, but the ownership changes tell you more — they are the moments when terms, bonus structures and support quality tend to shift.

2014

Remote casino licence granted

AG Communications Limited's GB remote casino permission takes effect on 1 November, opening the door to British players.

2017

Betting permission added

A general betting (real events) licence joins the account in September, extending the group beyond casino products.

2019

Bingo permission added

Remote bingo is added in August, completing the current set of three GB operating licences.

2022

First regulatory settlement

The Commission concludes an assessment with a £237,600 settlement over anti-money-laundering shortcomings across the licensee's brands.

2024

New ultimate owner

Aristocrat Leisure completes its acquisition of NeoGames in April, bringing Aspire Global — and therefore this platform — into the Aristocrat group.

2025

Second regulatory settlement

A further settlement of £1,407,834 is agreed in March following findings on social-responsibility and AML procedures across the network.

The Part Most Reviews Skip

AG Communications Limited has been the subject of Gambling Commission enforcement twice. In November 2022 it agreed a £237,600 regulatory settlement over anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing control failures. In March 2025 it agreed a much larger settlement of £1,407,834 covering social-responsibility and AML procedure gaps across the brands on its licence, together with divestment and the Commission's investigation costs.

Two questions follow from that, and they deserve different answers. Is the licence still valid? Yes — settlements of this kind are corrective, the account remains active on the register, and the operator continues to take British customers. Does the record tell you anything useful? Also yes. It says this is a network where the Commission has twice found the safer-gambling and financial-crime checks wanting, which is worth knowing before you decide how much of your play to concentrate in one place.

It is also worth keeping in proportion. Enforcement notices exist for most large UK-facing operators; a licensee with no public record is usually one that is either very small or very new. What matters is whether the failings were remediated and whether the same issues recur.

What this does not mean

  • • It is not a warning that the site is unlicensed — it is licensed and on the register
  • • It is not evidence that games are rigged; game software is tested separately
  • • It does not affect the protection of your balance or your right to complain

What it should change

  • • Set your own deposit limits rather than relying on the operator to intervene
  • • Verify your identity early so AML checks do not stall a withdrawal later
  • • Keep records of large deposits — source-of-funds requests are more likely here

Getting Hold of Someone

We deliberately do not republish support phone numbers or email addresses for the operator: they change, and a stale number sends people somewhere they should not be. Take the contact details from inside your own account, where they are always current.

Live chat

The fastest route and the one that leaves a transcript. Available from the help icon once you are signed in.

Ask for a written summary of anything important

Formal complaint

If chat cannot resolve it, ask for the complaint to be logged formally. That starts the clock that leads to independent adjudication.

Eight weeks, then escalate to the ADR body

Independent route

Alternative dispute resolution is free to the player and the operator has to take part. The ADR body is named in the site's terms.

The Commission does not adjudicate individual disputes

A note on this website: we are an independent guide, not the casino. We cannot see your account, release a withdrawal, lift a self-exclusion or reset a password. For anything account-specific you need the operator; for a factual correction to this page, write to editor@magicred-casino-uk.com and we will check it against the source.

Company Questions

The ownership questions people ask most, answered without the corporate padding.

Who is the legal operator of Magic Red for a UK player?

AG Communications Limited, a Malta-registered company holding Gambling Commission account 39483. It is your counterparty, your data controller and the entity you complain to. PALSAR Limited owns the brand and Aspire Global supplies the platform, but neither is who you deal with directly from Great Britain.

How long has Magic Red been licensed in Britain?

The licensee's remote casino permission has been in force since 1 November 2014, so eleven years of continuous GB licensing as of 2026. Two further permissions were added later: general betting on real events in September 2017 and remote bingo in August 2019.

Has the operator ever been fined?

It has agreed two regulatory settlements with the Gambling Commission, both published on the regulator's website:

  • November 2022 — £237,600 over anti-money-laundering control failures
  • March 2025 — £1,407,834 over social-responsibility and AML procedure gaps, plus divestment and investigation costs

The licence remains active. We think the record is worth knowing rather than hiding, which is why it has its own section on this page.

Does Magic Red have sister sites?

Yes — AG Communications Limited runs a portfolio of UK-facing brands on the same licence, which is the normal white-label pattern. Two practical consequences:

  • A self-exclusion applied at licensee level can cover several brands at once
  • Verification documents you have already provided may carry across the network

We do not publish a brand list here because these portfolios change month to month; the current one is visible on the Commission's register under the licensee's trading names.

Who ultimately owns the company now?

Aspire Global's parent, NeoGames, was acquired by the Australian gaming group Aristocrat Leisure Limited in April 2024. That places the platform — and by extension the technology behind Magic Red — inside a large listed corporate group, though the GB licence and customer relationship still sit with AG Communications Limited.

Know the Company, Then Decide

A licensed operator with eleven years on the GB register and a public enforcement history. Both halves of that sentence are true, and you should weigh both before you deposit.
